IATF 16949 emphasizes:
IATF 16949 is a standard in the automotive industry and its application conditions are also limited. Suppliers in the automotive industry must meet the following criteria to be the target of this standard. IATF 16949 is applicable to the “Manufacturing Site of an Organization that Specifies Product and Service Parts by Customers”. Contains quality management system requirements for the design and development, production, and installation and after-sales service of automotive-related products. There must be a "site", which is where the manufacturing process takes place. The so-called "manufacture" includes manufacturing or assembling production raw materials.
